I totally forgot that. If 'the one' has saved ZION and the humans 5 other times,, how could that have been reality? Wouldn't the machines be over-run by now?

Wow, I'll be 1st in line to see III.

the one in every time before never saves crap ...other then the human race from total distruction...

here's why, every single time Zion is distroyed ... every human is wiped out

"the one" is in the system for the sole purpose of making choices... which is required to get humans to believe their environment. the choice made in the 5 times before was to walk throught the other door and then choose a certain number of humans to be unplugged from the matrix and live in the next zion...

which if 5 times before machines have dug down and distroyed that city, means they some how reset the real world (no holes for easy machine access each time) and therefore the real world must be a matrix... it's the only way that makes sense

PLZ ANSWER

I just watched the movie and I have a few questions..

PLEASE PM ME THE RESPONSES!

1) what the *&$@( is the architect talking about? I couldn't grasp onto what he was trying to say...

2) what the *($&@( happened in the scene near the end where Neo stopped those octopus machines? Why did he knock out?

3) Why is Neo unconscious at the end?

4) WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY IN THE BED ACROSS NEO ? (at the end)

All I have to say about that movie is:

This is what happens when you overcomplicate a movie.

This movie had NOWHERE near the same impact as the first..

1) the architect is saying neo exsists so thats choice exsists in the matrix and therefore he must chose the door for rebooting the matrix and chose the next citizens of Zion or chose the other door and see humanity die out forever

2) Neo emitted an EM pulse to knock them out ... as you can see that has a bunch of people confused

3) no one is sure some say he's unplugged others say it's from the effort to generate an EM pulse

4) that is the dude that had his body taken over by Agent Smith so it's agent smith in the "real world" which might not be the real world but actually another matrix....

and personally I think it was great because I picked up all that the first time I saw it I will see it again maybe saturday night

So you're saying, 'the one' is choice?

I don't get it

yes the basic Idea of the matirx is to control humans so that they can power the machines from the electricity in the human body..

however they discovered that the one thing humans like more then anything else is the ability to make a choice to decide their own fate. humans rejected the first "upotia" enmass why because if everything was perfect you don't have any choice, the rules were too tight, like I'd have to be polite to you and wouldn't be able to knock you out if I wanted to. (I don't but an example)

so to give humans full control over their desinties I think "the one" was created with 2 matrixes... "the matrix" and the world of "zion" so that humans can follow a set path in the program and remain jacked in in the "real world". The Idea is "the one" will not make the choice to end the exsistance of the human race and go through the door that Neo did go through becuase they wouldn't want to risk the termination of the human race. and for the past 5 times "the one" had choosen right and the matrix was wiped out and rebooted and so was zion with a certain number of humans from the current harest being moved there and the rest being wiped out and replaced with new humans...

it's kind of like the growing cycle of corn ... first you grow the plants (humans) then you reap the fruit (electricity) then you distroy the plants (humans) and get ready to start all over again ...basically thats what the matrix is a big farmer's field.

Matrix's screenplay was character driven. Matrix Reloaded's is plot driven. A little to wordy. Frenchy should have had a judicious cut -- not his hot wife, though!

I thought the action scenes were mind blowing. I loved the fight choreography. The score is unbelievably powerful.

As for the cheeseball philosophy? Don't think too hard. Just enjoy. The 'Architect' hinted at an all-controlling 'program', but Neo, with his superhuman powers now in the 'real' world sets up a good, real-world ending.

Can't wait!

my thoughts... don't flame!!!

its obvious they delibrately scripted the movie so people would have to see it more than once to catch everything.. I dont like that, I see it as taking advantage of the fans.

the only scene I enjoyed was the morpheus vs. agent fight atop the 18 wheelers. nothing else came across as being original.. I'm with bazooka, X-Men was more enjoyable

oh and the biggest disappointment BY FAR was the T3 trailer... it looks soooooooo pathetic!!!! but I'll still see it for KRISTANNA LOKEN.. hehe.

I think theres no point in anyalyzing this matrix ****. people are acting like the warchowskis have stumbled upon some revolutionary theories on the nature of man or something. everything the 'architect' said was bullshit.. did anyone else catch the '6 days of creation' line?

I suggest picking up a philosophy book and having some thoughts of your own.

well I personally am only anyalyzing it becuase I hate seeing a movie and not understand what the underlying messege is ...

remember back in highschool having to anyalyze the crap out of a book or play in english class .... well in another life I might have been the one dishing out those assignments...muahahahaha

I agree what the architect said was useless ....the whole point of the room was to make a choice and thats it...

also did anyone notice that when he left the architects room he was back in the building and not the hall of doors?

and Akira .. yes the dude that was cutting himself was an agent smith ...agent smiths main goal is to kill the one and he moved out of the matrix to do so but failed to do that so helped distroy Zion by releasing the EM pulse early and disabling the ships....

gatherer.. true, the underlying themes present in any work are what make it or break it. maybe I was expecting a little more 'depth'.. I got a good laugh out of the whole techno-rave-sex-obsessed-tribal-subterranean-post-apocalyptic zion. thats something I'd expect to see out of BATTLEFIELD EARTH, not the MATRIX!!!

I think smith is at the bottom of it all. he definitely has more to do with the 'unravelling' of the mystery than we think. in the teaser for REVOLUTIONS at the end of the credits, there was a 'showdown in the rain' scene between neo and smith.. where neo goes 'it ends tonight!' or something like that. guess we'll have to wait and see.

i donno, i think it was a well written movie, it's nice to see a plot heavy movie every once in a while followed by some thick juicy action/cg effects!!

other options,

neo is a program..... this could be justified by how everyone always tell him the choice has already been made he just has to understand why....... think about it.... programs make choices.... but they don't know why..... maybe that is why neo is more than just another person or another program..... also yeah, zion can't be totally real, it couldn't have been destroyed 5 times before and not have an easy way in for the sentinels to dig in again..... but also maybe that whole 5 times thing was just thrown in there to mess us all up.... either way i'm going to go watch it again hopefully monday to get some more out of it....

My views:

1) Neo is a machine/program...why?? he was the only able to talk to the architect or he is a program designed to protect and make crucial decisions for humans...thats as deep as i will go or i will start to get a head ache...

CANT WAIT for MATRIX III

Question of the first Matrix:

"What is the Matrix?"

Question of the second Movie:

"What isn't the Matrix?"
