but you gotta like the mastercraft lifetime warranty. My 2yr old drill crapped out, I walked in and was given another. Not too shabby.

What does credit card have to do with anything?

I have some of their tools, they're good tools for sure. not bad for everyday tasks. I also use Husky lifetime warranty tools, Craftsman Professional, and Mastercraft Professional. It's a helluva lot easier to get replacements from the store rather than trying to find a snap-on dealer... I waited over a year to go warranty my snap-on ratchet, but finally I needed it so I took it apart and it wasn't even broken, just had a peice of metal shaving stuck in the mechanism.

Yeah I was really impressed with the ease of the warranty exchange. Now that I think about I did put a lot of time on that drill so the quality really wasn't bad at all.

YES they do track returns which is why you're suppossed to use different names and addresses numpty. they don't ask for id which is great for racking returns up on your ex-girlfriends. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. one day one of my ex's is going to return something and lights and sirens are going to go off and then they'll interigate them for hours upon hours as to why she keeps returning stuff. mmmmuuuuuuaaaahahahahahahahaha.

sonofab!tch I just broke a Proto ratchet, Proto short extension, and a Proto 1/2 to 3/8 reducer... oh and a Tufpro 19 mm socket, and no they didn't all break at once. the 19 mm broke on the engine mount bolt, the rest of it all on the stupid crank bolt! now I gotta go buy a nice impact 1/2 to 3/8 reducer and try again...

I finally killed it, went to CT, picked up a 17 mm deep 1/2 drive impact Mastercraft Maximum, got a 1/2 inch drive long Maximum extension, used another short 1/2 inch Craftsman Pro extension, then a 18 inch Snap On 1/2 inch drive ratchet, plus another 24 inch Snap On attachment (meant for 2 inch + sockets as an extension bar)... so in total prolly took over 600 lb ft of torque to break it loose. In other words, if you're retarded or otherwise challenged, please don't pretend to be a mechanic and whail on the crank bolt with the impact gun to tighten the bolt. It only takes 85 lb ft to tighten it. thanks!

I had a #2 robertson Mastercraft Maximum break on me just hand tightening a deck screw. It was defective right from the get-go cuz where it broke it was already rusting, yet the set was brand new. Then I used it as a pry bar and bent it so I doubt they'll be taking it back. :-|
