And Infonec should give you a refund regardless of whether you have a warranty on those items, unless they made you sign something saying they aren't liable for ****ty installations.. which would be retarded to sign.

There would be hardly any computer shops in the GTA that would have the knowledge on how to repair an HD, plus they wouldnt be able to get the parts for them anyway. Even if they could as someone else said it would not be cost effective. Thats why all hd's carry a factory repair warranty only. Generally most HD companies just send you a brand new HD when you send yours out to them and then they repair your old drive and sell it as "refurbished". BTW what kinda HD was it? If you have to replace it then IMO the only company out there that still makes a quality commercially available drive is Seagate, Quantum and Western Digital used to be pretty good before they both got bought out and then the quality really started to suffer. Seagate is the only company I still trust for Hard Drives, in face the Seagate drive I have now is the only drive I have ever had that hasnt blown up in more then 3 years of 24/7 use.

if it's the electronics and not the 'disc' you can buy another one of the exact same model/revision and switch them.

if this works, you're stuck with a non-working drive with a receipt for it.
