Post Honda in F1

For those true F1 fans, this is one of the summer highlight weekends...the Montreal Grand Prix. Does anyone else out there enjoy the top-notch race appeal that comes from Formula One?
Interesting to see how Honda makes out since they're within point range, considering Button and Barrichello qualified 8th & 9th respectively. Will be enjoying the race through the magic of television this year, volume turned inappropriately loud.

Having been in Montreal several years ago for the race, it's an unmatched experience and something to look forward to, even though for me, this year, it will only be experienced through the magical world of television...with, of course, the volume turned up extraordinarily loud!

Alonso got pole position yet again, I think it's his 4th consecutive. Any predictions? Anyone else care, haha? I think Button and Barrichello are 8th and 9th respectively, so Honda has a pretty good shot of ending up in the points, but doubtful of podium finish...but u just nevvvvvvvvvvvvvvver know!!!

Looking forward to tomorrow afternoon!
i was supposed to head to MTL this weekend to check out the festivities but i made other local plans instead ... i do plan on visitin MTL fairly soon tho ... ROAD TRIIIIIIIIIIIIP !!!

THE RACE JUST FINISHED!!! So...1/2 accolades go to Honda! Button finished the race, at least (haha, not 4th like i had mistakenly written!!!). Boooooooo to poor old Barrichello...ah well, there's always next week at Indy, eh? (Thanx echien for catching my faux pas!!!...don't want to be misinformed...or in my case miss un-informed, d'huh!)

That's because most of the money went to him and not car development.

I think they begged him to take less money so they could get a wind tunnel.

I was at the race...I was in grandstand 11. I had perfect view of the pits, starting line. I was sitting right at the first corner.

I knew Alonso would win.

Villeneuve had a nice race, fighting with massa for p5 for a while. Then he smashed his car...15 laps left..whatta shame.

I hate Michael Schumacher

Wow, Grandstand 11...sounds like u had an awesome view...were they Silver tkts? I've heard that those are some of the best seats in the entire place. Tried to get those when we went several years ago, but they were already sold out.

Is it true that Corner One always has accidents in some of the supporting series...did u see anything like that in the other races that were going on, like the Formula BMW, etc.?

That pass that Schumey made over Raikkonen was pretty sweet, snatching 2nd place from Kimi, esp considering it was right at the end of the race. Like him or hate him, Schumacher has finesse behind the wheel! But he still didn't strip Alonso of his first place on the podium. And boo-urns for Jacques on lap 59, was it?...that was disappointing to see.

How sensational that you got to go! Good onya, mate!

Thanks man. It was pretty awesome. Grand stand 11 was great. I got the tickets off scelpers (sp) the day of. It was fantastic. I didnt see any accidents, but kimi and I believe Montiero had a tough time with that corner.

I used to love Schumacher, I first started watching formula 1 cheering for Schumacher in his Benetton Renault. But then JV came into the series, and him and schmi had their fights and what not. I just dont think schumacher is a classy guy. Hes cocky, and if he wasn;t with ferrari for those years, I dont think he would have won those championships :|

I didnt watch any of the other races. Friday and Saturday I was in downtown montreal absolutely wasted. Saint Laurent, Saint Catharine and Cresent. Good times. Great City. Hate Seperatists.

Well, I was right there, I didnt see anyone smash.

@ Frost: Everyone was telling me to get the hairpin grandstand, but I friggin loved the seats I was in. I'm gonna get the same ones next year. This time I'll actually order them ahead of time.

Hey Italia311:
When I went, we sat at the hairpin, actually just beyond it as they come around the turn and start gearing up for the straightaway. They were incredible seats, although I've spoken with others who sat where u did and they say that those are better, if u can get them (and even our l'Epingle hairpin seats were pre-ordered MONTHS in advance!!!). But with all the marbling that came off the tires because of track heat, I can imagine that the hairpin would also have been a great place to sit...ha, who am I kidding! If I could've gone this wknd, I would have sat at a concession stand and been happy! Good 4 u that u got to go!
