mountain bikes....
hey I got a question
I recently just got a new carrera eldorado from sportmart, its a really nice bike, gears are silent unlike some of the bikes I road making noises,
its nice and it has a single suspension in the front, unfourtnately it seems like it isnt sensitive enough. You gotta PUSH PUSH really hard to make it look like its working...
The first time I had the bike it wasent sensitivity enuf so I gave it to em to fix it along with some minor stuff, they fixed everything else the suspension is still really hard, its a little more sensitivity, but when I go up a curb it doesnt even work good, its like riding a normal bike,
so should I refund it or keep it, the infinity bikes at costco are really good too

Who really gives a flying **** about some cheap mountain bikes. Sorry if I'm sounding like a dick, just tired and in a crappy mood, and need to flame.
But in all honesty, Blade X constantly comes up with some pretty lame *** threads, and then does follow up on them. I know it's an open forum, and I'm being an ***, but just seeing one of your threads makes me cringe.:fustrated

Suspension is supposed to "move" when you hit a bump (rock, log etc). As PunkinDrublic suggested be happy it doesn't move too much. Although the travel in your suspension is important too. Keep in mind that the bike you bought is probably a recreational model and would easily break on a real bike trail.....
Also a little bit of energy from each pedal stroke is sucked up by the suspension.
Get a "real" bike. Look at Kona's or Rocky Mountains if you want to do big drops and hit curbs or go on crazy trails. Theres also GT, Specialized, Trek. All pretty decent. Although you get what you pay for.

Trek sucks get giant they make super nice bikes, Joker try walmart or a garage sale or police auction, plus Blade its a cheap bike so therefore the shocks are cheap and you cant expect much of them, try working em in if not i would spend a bit more and get a semi-real mountain bike

You don't want the suspension moving like crazy each and every time you go over a bump. If it were a car that were doing that, then it's called a cushy old man car like a Buick or something. The suspension should be pretty stiff on a bike.
Either that, or it could just be attributed to the fact that it's cheap.

Refund yours, and go buy a Specialized entry level mountain bike.
In reality, unless you are a crazy *** biker who rides insane amount of trails, just get the ones with straight fork. You don't really need shocks. You need strong arms and legs to operate a bike.

Bladex ,
Go with a Kona or Trek. Trek is a really good bike company with a plenty of entry level bikes for you to choose from. Kona has some entry level bikes to but it all depends on what you want to do. I have a shop in the Durham area that can hook you up with something. I use to be the manager there and still have connections. Send me a PM and we can talk.
