Movie review thread

Winter is coming and personally, I spend alot more time indoors watching movies or going to the movies. So, post up what you have seen, be it at home or at the theatre and what you thought.

I'll start with a few I have seen lately, all on DVD/Bluray.

Don't mess with the Zohan
-Pretty funny, typical Adam Sandler but there are better

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
-Hilarious, I really enjoyed it ore then Zohan

Made of Honour
-Typical chick flick. I read a book through most of it

Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
-Was a let down. I saw the very first one and it is still one of my favourite movies. Special effects were good but the plot was dumb

Ironman
-Awesome

The Hulk
-Watching it now. Review to follow.

everything else is a chick flick.

there is the 25 rule.

if at least 25 people in the movie die, it's probably a good movie.

a director's cut would be much much better... originally they had him ripping people's arms off..

weaksauce reviews!

We should have some sort of template in which to rate the movies instead of just a quick line of "good, funny" ya know?

last movie I saw was Star Wars-Clone Wars
Plot- C+ : Good for a TV show, but for a movie, it was way too shallow, tried to include too many things, and assumed the audience had prior knowledge of the events surrounding the movie ( in this case... ya they probably did, but stilll...)
Acting- n/a - Animated.... not much to say here
Action - B+ Space travel scenes were nicely done, coming out up hyperspeed or whatever they called it, colourful landscapes and nice lightsabre action.

Theatre/DVD/TV- Wait till TV

Rating out of 10 - 6/10 - plot moved along too fast and the ending left you hanging.... like you needed another scene to figure it out.

WARNING - I am very picky on movies lol

The Women - Boring!!! Way too much drama. Thought it was supposed to be a comedy not a mushy chick flick. Or else I would have never gone to see it!

Lakeview Terrace - Eww. Terrible acting. Ok story line. Some parts dragged on forever.

Righteous Kill - A very boring disappointment. Not enough action. Predictable. Wouldn't watch it again.

My Best Friend's Girl - Funny. Was expecting a bit more. Great story line, not played out as much as it could have been.

Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist - Had its moments. A couple good laughs. Way more 'mushy' than it should have been.

Sexdrive - Pretty damn funny. A couple boring moments, but still the best I have seen lately. Nudity, cars, jokes, Amish chicks going wild - Works for me.

Need some good gore-filled movies.. Something where people die, get dismembered etc. Cannot wait for Saw 5.
