Movin to Cali

Best of luck man
Living costs are up the roof in cali. If you can find a respectable job then props to you and hopefully you can live your life on your own.
Do you have family down here? what do they think about your decision?
It would be nice to bring a couple of people over, or a g/f if you have one but that would be quite rare, not a lot of people are commited to a move like yours.
Againt, gl. Never been there so I can't assume anything from my point of view except for the nice weather which our country here lacks 10 mths a year

I got Dual citizenship. I don't plan on living in the States ever, but its nice to know I can go work there if my employer needed me too.
Promo, just find a mint Datsun somewhere in the states and take the bus there, buy it, and cruise to Cali.
Here's your start:

Ya, i don't think you can get dual citizenship for any county. Some will want you to be one or the other, some will will let you be three at once...
My parents are both from Michigan. My father got drafted into Nam, did some work in Indiana and Louisiana, never got shipped over (luckily) and when he got a chance he left the country with my mother and came to Canada. When he got here he dropped his US citizenship (knowing Canada is amuch better place to live) and became a full fledged Canadian citizen. My mother is still American to this day and is classified as a landed immigrant.
Because my mother worked in the states for over them minimum of 14 years, my brother and I were eligible for dual citizenship. So we said why not and took the states up on the deal.

you can avoid taxes altogether by living in 3 countires during the year.... be a citizen to the US and canada.. and go on 'vacation' a lot somewhere else..
you can work in the US and canada.. and won't have to pay any income tax... but you can't be in either country more than 119 days
something like that
