i'm pretty sure offline instant messaging works even if the other person doesn't have live... atleast it does with ppl on my list... they're the ones that always msg me with 'yo, how'd u do that?'

I used to have it, it was alright, my biggest complaint was that for some reason it kept poping up ahead of other windows, so when your trying to do other things that stupid window would keep coming to the front....the actual service was pretty good I thought, like outlook on the web...

I like Hotmail Live .. so far it hasn't given any problems. It took awhile to get used to, but once you start using some of the Live only features you can't go back! its pretty much like using Outlook.

Gmail messenger... i donno... what would be the benefit of switching from msn messenger to Gmail messenger?? i think Gmail chat is the best idea so far... otherwise we'll have another icq vs msn type battle... and it's just annoying cuz you loose so many contacts in the process cuz some ppl switch, not everyone switches tho... boourns

I have only ever used MSN messenger, never had ICQ.

But what is offline messaging? You appear offline but can still message people?

*shivers* the ICQ Uhoh

MSN is good, lotta custom options
i guess Microsoft just monopolizes (sp) everything that comes into competition with them ( or they buy them out)
