i dont know if its happening to anyone else but i installed ares lite and it keeps crashing my entire system.

for movies i use newsgroups (for cable, bit torrent for dsl)

The trick in dc++ is finding a good hub. Within time you will.

yeah first find a hub that has a low share amount, then after you buuild your share move up in roooms, don think that the more members a room has the better, cause more members mean more people downloading off each other meaning less open slots...find one thats in between experiment...

Bringing back an old post, but what is everyone using now?

I'm just starting to get into downloading music, but I don't know where to start. I've tried Limewire and I'm wondering about some of the other's mentioned. I know some of these sites come and go, so what is good now?

What is this Ares one like? Any links?

im a big fan of using Sam Goody, Warehouse, Best Buy. they have good selection and no spyware

I still use bittorrent for music

alt.bin.hdtv and alt.bin.dvd for movies (Newsgroups)
