if there is, there is no space between the shield and the wall... therefore there is 2 layers of metal side by side (no gap)

exactly, the whole purpose of the new license is so that can incorperate more security features so we are still able to go over the border (by ground) without a passport.

I done think they are accepting the licence as a travel doc anymore when crossing the border. It has to be a doc that shows ur citizenship status like a passport, birth cert. Etc

everything suggest it will be taken as ID because there is a lot of new security features. I dont know if they have yet to get final approval by the US government.

Question, maybe a TAD bit off topic, but with passports, is there any way of getting your picture re-done? Mine doesn't even look like me.

1. Name Change
2. Lost Passport
3. Close to Expiring
4. Expired

any legitimate reason to renew a passport, and if they approve you can give them your 6 month or newer head shots (passport size)

I'm applying to replace my Citizenship card, its taking ages, i call them they said they might be sending me the "NEW" one, have no idea what that means, im guessing chipped in some way for identification cross borders.

So you're saying I can just pretend I lost it and they will ask me to submit new pictures?
Or will I have to go through the entire process of getting a whole new passport again?

Yes, you would have to go through the whole process, though, I wouldn't really call it a process, all you have to do is fill out a passport (specific application) and show your ID's among few other things, and that’s it, pay up and get it the mail few weeks later.

You cannot just go and change ID photo’s for any document/card, it always has to be in a position of a renewal/completely new card/document.

I'm still trying to figure out why people care so much about how they look on their ID's. Is it some sort of a mini fashion show when you present it. "See here, I have my hair down but sometimes on Thursdays I put it up in a ponytail but not with a scrunchy because that hurts my hair's feelings"

Why oh why?!

It actually has nothing to do with vanity what so ever.

I'm just sick and tired of the hassle i get EVERY SINGLE TIME i have to use my ID. I don't look like my picture anymore. its time for a new one so I can stop holding up lines with the excessive questioning i receive all the time.
