My poor friend and his Mazda...

So last year when the new Mazda 3 came out - my friend went out and bought one. I told him it would be a great car for what he needs.. somethign sporty yet still able to haul the family around..

Keep in mind this is his first new car. He had saved up some cash and went and bought it..
He upgraded a few little things, put some wheels on it and hes at 15,000 k - motor starts running like **** - he brings it to the dealership they check it over then give it back to him.

He is not happy with the service or the car at this point, and the car still runs like a bag. So he has it back for about two nights when he is on his way home and the thing suddenly gernades and leaves him in the middle of the night, with a 3 hour walk to a phone (he has a pinched nerve in his back).

This day here just happens to be mikes 26th Birthday also.. so much for celebrating??!! He got back to his car and towed it to the dealership..

He visits the dealership the next day and they say they will have a look at it. A couple days later and they tell Mike that they will not replace the motor and basically hes SOL. They patch up his car to get it running and give it back to him.

So now Mike - Extremely pissed off went and made up a sticker...

Haha, well, let's see what it does. He should write or call Mazda Canada and complain and see what happens, but don't let it stop there. Call whoever he can to help him out. Call Silverman at City if he has to.

That's a pretty shady dealership.

why not take it to another mazda dealership. just because one dealer says no, doesnt mean another will. you can get warranty work done at any mazda dealer.

My friend's boyfriend picked up his brand new Mazda 3 last week. I hope he doesn't have that kind of trouble with it. The dealership he dealt with leaves something to be desired as well (I got my Tribute there, they aren't very helpful either). I hope your friend is able to do something about his lemon.

if the dealerships lawyers are half deacent enough he could get sued large for slander. He should be careful...even if they do owe him the proper service they can sue his pants off... Believe me ive seen it done before.

If its warrenty he should simply let it knock till it pops, they will replace the engine. Then persue the fender damage. Best to leave it to the courts, that sticker is nothing but trouble, not in his favour.

Think about it, do you think they will simply say ok ok well fix it if you take the sticker down, please please were at your mercy, then suck his ***** and say they are sorry...?

no all they are going to do is get pissed and seek legal advice to burn his ***.

Not likely, it would be cheaper for the dealership to fix the problem rather than hire a lawyer.

It would also be better for public relations for the car to be repaired as well.

am i the only one who says take it to another dealer. it doesnt really say anything about mazda in general, as every manufactuer knocks out a lemon from time to time, perhaps jus because of manufacteuring defects. jus take it to another place, dont try to cause sh*t, and the sticket is ghey. if i had a new mazda3, i wouldnt try and bring attention to my giant rear sticker instead of the car.
