Naturopath?

Naturopath?
Has anyone ever seen one?
I have an appointment on July 17th with one to go over my many health concerns that I am not getting any results with, from Prescription Medicine.
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts or stories on them?
Thanks,
Connie

I've heard alot of good things about it, but I work security at a Nauturopathic place. Although I have yet to try their services, seems ok to me. I think doctors are too happy to give medication for stuff that dosen't need it though and many people want immediate results so medication is good to get everyone all hopped up, weeeee
let us know how it goes.

I will. I'm really excited for it.
My bestest friend told me about it (her name is Mandie lol) she told me to look into it a while back, and I am just fed up with my 4 doctors who aren't doing **** for me.
I have a fertility doctor who only has one method of treating the fertility problems, there are new methods now and he doesn't want to try any of them. The ones I tried with him obviously aren't working because I am not pregnant yet.
My Nurse Practioner is the same. Everytime I see her, she says, its nothing, I Wouldn't worry about it. Well obvsiously I am worrying about it, if i am at the doctors.
My OB/GYN has no clue what the condition I have (which is polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is. She is suppose to specialize in these things.
And my family doctor, is a) way too busy it takes way to long to get in there, and b) he blames everything on my weight, yet my weight is contributed to by my fertility problem, SO HELLO HELP ME FIX IT!!!!!
So hopefully I see some results.
Its been 2+ years with all 4 of these doctors and nothing, so hopefully over time with this new lady I will see some results.

It might have a placebo effect for those who believe....kind of like Jesus.
You have to understand that if you take natural medication, it is still like taking drugs. Sure they are not prescribed by your doctor but they could have potential side-effects.
Just because they are somehow "natural" does not mean they are healthier than synthetic drugs. I am not going to go drink water from a swamp, even though it naturally occurs in the environment.
Remember, that even books and health magazines have ties to the businesses that manufacture such naturopathic medication. These are far from expert sources.
Stay away from pills! Eat well, and excercise. There is more nutrition in an apple than Ginko Baloba.

remember, everything is 'natural', even plutonium.
there is no such thing as artificial medication, unless it's imaginary medication like an imaginary friend.
cyanide is natural
i would blame a lot of your health concerns on your weight as well, and I don't know a thing about you.
If the body is out of proportion, it's 'natural' equilibrium is lost and almost anything can go wrong.
you can always look for easy fixes, but maintenance of your body will be a much better route for you to take.
go for a daily walk at first if you can.
drugs are not the answer.
excersize is key.

Does anyone know where I can get a good naturopathic massage? (wink wink, nudge nudge)

it doesnt work.. there is no proof that it works
the type of person who is able to convince themselves that going to a naturopath will help them, is just as likely to convince themselves that naturopathy works.
there will always be freak accidents where people will somehow get cured and attribute it to naturopathy, but on average its just a placebo effect
save your money, listen to your doctor and lose weight
