need help deciding on a car.

ok, here is the deal:

I have a 99 dx coupe 5 speed with 146k, in rather good condition. I am getting bored of it. I want to get rid of it.

I have about 20k that has no purpose right now.. so that plus the worth of the civic is at my disposal..

I need something reliable... hopefully with a manual tranny.. more luxury than performance..

in the ideal situation I woudl rather just spend around 15k on the car, but i could go higher, as I woudl prefer to put the rest of the money in my savings towards a house.

What would you do in my position? which car, and for what reasons? I really have no idea what I want, I just want something different than my civic...

if u want luxury you will have to sacrifise manual transmission for an auto.
as most luxury cars are auto's and dont come with a manual option.

if you want a luxury sport then go is300.

imo i would go with a 2000 lexus gs400 because its luxurious, has all the options, a nice v8 and has tons of hp, plus they are super pimp when modified.

the gs400 is a beautiful car never even really considered it... how much will one run?

anywhere from 16 thousand to 22 thousand depending on the year and km.

there are two versions one is the gs300 and then the gs400 then there is the gs430 but that came in 2002 i believe but its out of the price league.

the gs300 came with the supra motor so if you plan on modifying it to put a 6 speed supra tranny this would be your ideal choice.

the gs400 is a monster and everyone who owns a gs300 wished they opted for the 400 because it responds really well to the supercharger that is available for it.

beside's you get the added bonus of factory hid and rims etc....

ya man.. I'd suggest IS300 5spd for sure.. I work for Lexus and I drive the cars day in and day out.. the IS300 is still super nice.. even though I'm not crazy about the clutch, it's still a good drive.. and it is roomy enough.. I mean it's a sedan still.. how roomy were you lookin' for?

2004 TSX. It's extremely comfortable and still has good power. Comes with a 6spd or an auto. Ride is insanely smooth, the leather is very nice and the interior doesn't feel cheap. Still in the reliable family of cars but with a little more luxury and some get up and go. At the same time you're not spending tons of cash on gas or horribly expensive parts (they're pricey but not as bad as Audi or Lexus).

OR

2003 G35 Coupe. What a beautiful car. Just simply the best coupe I've ever seen. Quick as all hell. You can pick up a used one for low to mid 20's with low k's on it. Interior is mint, absolutely mint. This is luxury performance but you pay the gas price and parts price, that's for sure.
