5 spd Accords come only in 4 cylinder, unless you want a 6 speed coupe. IMO Accords are for old ppl. They are reliable but there is no fun to drive effect at all with any of them.

why don't you just suggest i get an enzo???

did you read the part where my budget is limited to 20k plus the worth of a 99 dx coupe? I really dont want to finance or get a loan.. cash only..

so far i am thinking of either a recent V6 altima, is300 or 3-series.

Your Civic is probably worth 7000 and you would like to spend roughly 15K out of the 20. So in reality, you have roughly 22k for a car and is that down payment, or full buy out?

I know the feeling you have, been saving for a while and have a steady decent pay job so the cash flow is not a problem, and you want to treat yourself to something nice, a reward shall we say.

If that money is down payment, then I would look for a G35 coupe. If you wish to pay less monthly, perhaps a IS300 Wagon. Don Valley North Lexus Toyota has one, license plate DVNL 1. A silver one, car is damn nice. Or a TSX (2 year old, or a demo)

If no financing, I would probably look for an older luxury car. GS400 is a good package as many have suggested. Or an used E36 M3 (I don't know how much an E36 M3 would cost, sorry if that suggestion is out of range).

All the cars are used.

Not sure about Altimas man. Reliability on them is also not very good. Stick with Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus.

What about a used TSX? For $25K you could easily get a 6 speed TSX with 60-70 thousand kilometers on it.

I don't.. I even mentioned that anything that doesnt get spent from this car money will go in my savings towards a house.. but that is a whole seperate issue..

I am starting to see myself in a beemer.. low 2000's 3-series..

Does anyone know any good bmw forums?

first of all i would never be in your situation because i would never spend that much money into a car because. why the F@#k do you need a car that expensive. unless your married and your settled. you can get soo many luxuriouse cars for around 10-15 grand. and it would be wise to save the rest for a house. that is what i am doing. i have been through soo many cars in my life. cuz i buy and sell them. you can get an rsx or 3.2tl, 2.5 rl mercedez. bmw. my dad has a 1998 bmw convertible & hard top 100,000 km and he go tit for no more then 16,000. its that he couldnt get the 2005 model. its just that you dont need it. its like getting a new toy, you eventually lose interest and maybe regret it. BUT IF YOU WANT CARS FOR AROUND 20,000 TO 30,000 THEN, i would go with the: AUDI TT, (around 20-25k)BMW 540, CADILAC STC OR CTS(really nice. i saw one once for 18,000 2002), honda s2000(around 20,000), G35 (24K+) MERCEDEZ JEEP OR BMW JEEP X5 (24K+)... OR IF YOU WANT TO BE WISE get an acura legend 1992+ for alot cheaper than 10,000 and you have a really nice luxuriouse car... im in the same shoes as you my friend. its more valuable to me to save and buy a house then to ge ta car.
