BTW Nice purchase ERTW........
thank you sir

exactly, this board is awesome for civic support, but it is also amazing for other things. I really like my civic, it was one of the best purchases and experiences, but soon enough i will have to put money into it on regular maintenane (it is almost 8 years old now), and it makes more sense to upgrade. I am sure there are others facing the same dillema.. i;m just sharing mine with you

Civic= The Ultimate Grocery Getter.

I'll probably keep my 06 Civic for a few years, but the wife eventully wants a 3 Series Coupe.

3 series coupes are just amazing.. but insurance is pricey

just a general curiosity for you guys: full coverage on the bmw is 90 dollars CHEAPER than the insurance on my civic

yup.. and in october, when i turn 25 and my accident from 2000 goes off the record, i will be paying 135/mo for full coverage.. liability on the civic would be 164 at that point

go into a dealership and see how much a certified preowned car will cost you, you will be pleasently surprised. Their baloon financing package with 3.9apr is amazing. if you put a lot down, the car costs you only a few bucks a month in payments, i was quite shocked.

I will keep that in mind and never tell my wife! The civic is actually the secondary car, the van is our primary. When the lease is up, we want to buy a car out right, and she wants an SUV

Since seeing what I have done with my car, I really can't say no.

I once saw a 2000 M5 at the 7/407 dealer and it was amazing. 59,000 or something like that. I think BMW's used car is a bargain to have.

a g35 infiniti coupe would cost me 200 dollars less then my civic type r on insurance per month.
thats SHOCKING.

but i knew it would always be cheaper because less theft rate and less of these cars available to the public so the people driving these cars will be of more upscale people. but i never knew it would be that much difference.

04 5spd Accord EX-L 4cyl, the perfomance is really good, and with a simple head swap you can start getting serious, the ride is amazing, the tranny is so smooth, i had one, it was written off a few weeks ago... beautiful car id say the 04 cuz i like the red and white tails, the 05 have the all red tails and i think the 06 is ugly

oh you already got a car... nice purchase anywayz

I didn't know that their APR is so low on used cars. If that's the case maybe I should at least consider that for my next purchase.

What I like about BMW preowned is that you can find lots of them for sale. I guess there are lots of rich people who change cars all the time and that's why there are so many available.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase.

its 3.9% over 36 months and 4.9% over 48 months. Does not apply to M and Z cars though

Don't be silly with your money. Why blow 20 grand on a depreciating asset when instead you could take that same twenty grand and make 20% plus on the market this year like everyone else has been doin. Search the benefits of compounding interest, save a nice car for the days when you can afford it after more important obligations have been taken care of (any debts, buying a house etc.)

Some of us have already taken care of the debts, house and all that other stuff so getting a luxury car might just be the next step.

Even though the APR is pretty low I am still thinking twice about BMW, and that's only b/c of their poor reliability.
