Need help...Going to make an account at CIBC tommorw...

hey, I'm just wondering about a few things..

First of all, I already have a checkings acount with my TD canada Trust.

If I already am part of 1 bank account, am I able to start up another account with CIBC????

As we speak, I am 18years old, and I'm planning on walking over to my closest CIBC branch and ask them to make me an account.

Since I'm the legal age, and considered an adult, what would I need to bring with me for ID when I go to CIBC???

Passport???

Because like I said, I am already with TD Canada Trust for about 2 years and am wondering what I need to bring with me.

thanks

Yeah, starting another account with a different bank shouldn't be a problem.

Why don't you just call the actual bank itself before you go over and ask them what you need to bring?

Banks are just places to store your money, no one bank is all that much better than any other. The only real differences are the fee's they charge for certain transactions and the rates they offer on various services, etc.

Does anyone know what TD charges for bank fees cause I use Interac A LOT so I'm trying to find a bank that charges the minimal amount of fees associated with it. I'm at TD currently but I still have a youth account which I have to switch to a normal account now that I'm 18, TD charges me like 2.50/month for interact with my youth account.

When I first got my bank account, I wanted to go with Royal Bank cause I thought WOW, "Royal" bank, sounds so.... Royally amazing! And with that Lion Code of Arm it doesn't get any better than that!

Then my aunt told me to go with TD cause everyone else in our family is in TD so I had no choice...

Then I thought, WOW, green colour bank........

honestly, I hate being with TD, they charge you so much just to use the the debt card..

The best is to go with Presidents Choice...

They don't charge you for debt card use and you can withdraw your money from PC bank or CIBC at no cost.

I'm going to PC tonight
