Need more ideas!

Im writing a compare/ contrast essay on the difference between American and Japanese cars. My areas of comparison are: style, quality/reliability and technology. I did an outline but i need some more points to plump it out to 1000 words. So you guys have any brilliant ideas?

well talk about vtec and how honda/import engines rev to 8200+rpms safely and how much power they put out at such small displacement compared to domestics.
Or how you can get factory upgrades from dealerships like a stage 2 or 3 kit on a SRT-4.

you should mention how American car companies are unionized, while the Japanese generally aren't...

american usually = more value, ie more features for lower price then japanese, but japanese usually offer better build quality and resale value.

japanse usually use smaller displacement to make their power, while american usually rely on slightly larger engines like 0.5L bigger

^^^^loudsubz thats post 9999!

I'd talk about gas consumption/build quality/options for the cars (american = a lot more fancy stuff for the price/resale values/the shift in enthusiasm for younger generations/then for fun I would bring up that chevy HHR monstrosity they just made....

Torque is what moves you down the road

Not all domestics are unreliable. Take the 302 from ford,The venerable 350 from chev, the 318 and 225 slant six from chrysler.

My new car is a 4cyl mustang - engine is out of a svo. 2.3l turbo. Comes stock 205hp@10psi 245ft/lb torque. I would have to spend serious cash to get that type of power out a Honda motor.
