need a quick help
just a easy question
i want to change my summer wheels/tires by myself(my first time)....how many lbs i have to use to tight my wheel nuts? and how can i know the wheel nuts is tight enough? my car is 99 Civic Hatch

80 lb/ft of torque per lug nut.
Cross tighten them enough by hand to hold the wheel snug and then cross tighten them with a torque wrench so that they are tight and then cross tighten them to a final torque of 80 lb/ft.
Oh...break the lugs loose on the ground. The rest can be done in the air.

If you are using OEM lug nuts with OEM iron bar, you can torque it hand tight first while the car is jacked up, then after you set the car on the ground, hand tighten the lug nuts (cross pattern as others have suggested) and use your body weight to press on it, but never stand on it.
Done.
