Need some help. Shipping from USA or another idea. Please shoot

Okay I got an excellent deal on BC Racing VH coilover damper kit, the exact same thing as the Megan Racing Street Series version for the EG line of Civics.

I can get them for $740US shipped to Canada through USPS, but the thing is I am having a hard time considering if I should for the deal because the deciding factory is DUTIES.

How much duties will I have to pay?? Its coming from NYC supposedly (their warehouse) so its kind of close to Canada.

-----------------

Plan two is I found this guy (actually he asked me) who says he goes to the states often and he can handle getting it and bringing it back to me.

Now we are still talking but I'll see how it goes, this route would be really good and less expensive. Probably $100 or less, I will see how it pans out.

I'm kinda weary about this route though, if this guy can pay for me in full using his money, it will let me have a easier time trusting him. I will pay him in full after he provides the goods back to me. But if he expects me to pay some or all using my money, I dont think I can take the risk.

HMMMMM. Any ideas?

We have one through work, I dunno. I use it for all my stuff that I buy off ebay. I never have paid crossing the border either. I just take off the packaging and throw it in my back seat. And am usually claiming something else small from shopping or whatever.

I dont know how much the mail box it self is.

Is this 14% off from the total price in CAD currency?

Its only 14% if you say, I bought this engine and I am bringing it back. If it was me, I'd keep the engine in my trunk, out of box and such. How can they prove I didnt have this in there before. For god sakes, it's an engine...

Sorry I keep saying engine I mean Coilover Kit.

Well now you know... If I go alone to pick it up. I charge just for gas. And if you were to come with me in your car, then no charge. I usually go shopping over there when I go anyways

when you say mail box in US...do you mean like a Post Office Box # or something else?

Most big retailers or sellers dont usually ship to PO Boxes though.
