new canadian government

from watching the news it seems as it is just about confirmed that there is a new minority government in Canada and its the conservatives,
Congrats to them and lets see what will change (if anything) in the future.

Nobody should be surprised by this, its been predicted for months.
And since its a minority, expect to be voting again within a year.

Yeah, this doesn't come as a suprise to me...I've been following this since last election. I guess the only way you can really know what you want is if you give the other guy a chance. Im not going to lie, I am quite pissed...but I like to think some good will come out of this.

i guess people wanted a change, well, what alot of people voting conservatives aid, and they'll be able to see how the change goes. if they don't like it then soon enough the next election will decide if they did a good job or not

ive never liked how they support/give breaks to big businesses... cuz that leaves out the vast majority of us... the upper class ppl dont need the breaks, middle and lower class do... thats my $0.02

All I have to say is

Still a little disappointed in Ontario voters, makes me realize this province really isn't for me. Both Whitby-Oshawa/Oshawa-Courtice went Conservative so i did my part.

I really have to commend Paul Martin on his exit speech, I thought he was very graceful and genuine. Good luck on your future endevours Prime Minister Martin.

There will not be an election for atleast 2 years, I don't think any of the parties want that, and the Liberals need a new Leader now, Paul Martin stepped down as party leader.

hard for a minority government to implement too much change so there no need to fear drastic changes because likely everything will stay as it is in it's present state
