newbie from Vancouver !
hey everyone!
i'm from Vancouver(!)...looking to move to TO early '06 so i found this forum hoping you guys can give me tips!!
Recent grad with a Business Degree and a diploma in Information Technology. Looking towards some admin job or analyst type, making no less than 35k (though not sure what the standards are in TO - pay is probably higher in the east?).
Anyhow, where do you think the best place to rent is? I will be taking transit so maybe in North York, Missisauaga, Scarborough, or Toronto??
and how IS the employment opps here? I probably will be moving first and then finding a job, and i have no relatives here so i'm basically screwed if i dont' find a job ahahah - but i'm just going for the experience being on my own et al.

move to scarborough...around the neilson and sheppard area... it has great condos and apartments...it has a good balcony view of the most prestigous mall in all of toronto...you can easily find a job too...just stand on the corners at night wearing something sexy or join one of the local gangs...the crack industry is booming these days! bring your own padlock for your apartment door though because if you dont...the jermaines & omars love to play tricks on the new guys...they particularly love doing the infamous "night rape"!...oh..and if there are no accomodations in that area, then i suggest somewhere in the donmills/eglinton or jane/finch.

are those locations you mentioned redlight districts or maybe drug alleys..like vancouver's downtown east side ?? ahha I have noooo idea if you were kidding or not about the area!
anyway, i'm from east van!! if you guys need any tips about vancouver, you can always ask me!
