Newest addition to bbarbulo's .....
collection of cars
I bought this one on the weekend in Virginia:
It's currently clearing customs to be driven here in ON. Pimp as hell wagon Can someone say "SYSTEM"?
Unfortunately, since I'm w/ my parents again, the other 2 extra cars gotta go. I can only own two at a time, so I'm selling the other Saturn and my Samurai.

rims w/ Prada Spec 2, Eibach springs/shocks, bushings, sturt tower brace, intake, header, exhaust, short shift, roof rack... and 2000 Maxima dark metallic gray paint... with a custom touch. Actually, I'm just gonna do a really clean system install from my current Saturn... build a tinted plexi cover for the cargo area, redo the interior with new seats (these ones suck), vinyl over the doors in black/gray... and that's it... polish 'er up.
After all, this is supposed to be my daily driver.

The only things that sticks out like a sore thumb on that car (my personal preference) are the headlights. I really don't like how they look.
But if I cover the front end, the thing looks pretty sweet.
You seem to like saturns...what are advantages/disadvantages over Hondas?

I love all cars PolskiSi, just some are more suitable as daily drivers, some are more reliable.... etc, etc. Problem is I love my Civic so much, I rarely drive it, and parts I get all have to be OEM or hardcore aftermarket... none of this CT crap. So that's why I need a daily driver, so when I have to get parts for the Civic, I can let it sit till I order parts in. The Saturns, I can find parts anywhere (like AutoZone over in Detroit), parts are relatively cheap ($40/rotor vs the $150 for my Honda), it's easy to work on... they are actually very reliable and very inexpensive to operate (cheap insurance, cheap gas, cheap parts....) You just have to know cars in order to choose what's right for you when buying cars and parts. One car alone won't solve everyone's problems Out of all the domestics, GM builds the best cars, and the Saturn is a fine example of what they build... Chrylser makes **** motors, and Fords like to have random parts just die or fall off the vehicle... GM actually makes a somewhat solid car... low tech engines, but proven reliability. The saturn is a SW2 twin cam, and it likes to go... my other saturn is a SL2 twin cam as well but auto... that's a great commuter car. I like the look of the wagon better, which is why I bought it.

Polski, 1993 SW2, considering the level of modification... the parts alone would cost that much for me to duplicate that on my 93 SL2 that I own, so I figure, buy this, sell the other, and I'm ahead of the game. Rims/tires alone are worth $1000 USD, so hell yeah that's cheap. Plus my SL2 is auto, and I don't like not being able to accelerate out of corners (and as such control weight distribution). SPS parts ain't cheap, plus a auto->manual conversion would cost me big as well. This way, I start out ahead of the game.

Hehe, gatherer, it's a MacPhearson strut, and I don't know what kind of rear. HP stock is 124, and like 130 (guessing by my butt dyno) or so in torque. With the mods it's got, I figure 220 at the wheels for sure Jokes...
Wagon in Solo2... 4 wheel disk brakes, Prada Spec2, Pro-Kit, sway bar bushings... I think it'd beat out any Miata out there LOL Handles nice... I wanna get new struts for it all around (methinks KYB cuz it's a daily driver), and upgrade the rear sway to a SPS unit. Other than that, I'm happy with the way it is. Just gonna do interior work... new seats, vinyl work, and system. Everything else I'm very happy with.
