sure, and they got retarded rich by working hard and paying their taxes, right?

A guy in our h/s had his own condo when he was 16, his own V6 accord, his older bro had a place in Atlanta and drove an NSX... his parents never stepped foot in North America - they were sent here to be protected... so the story goes.

well i'm pretty sure it's legit bruno, both his parents live here and they do work hard
but then again i could be wrong, but after knowing wilson for over 4 years i'm pretty sure it's from hard work and successful business ventures (no not his car parts stores)

I know a few families that are like that and work very very hard, and are legit... plus live in Windsor, where cost of living is like 1/2 of that in TO... yet, they don't live like that! The few houses that are truly massive on the river... are still only a few million bux, and belong to a family that owns like 10 or so massive auto-part plants and have owned them for over 50 years. Now, assuming his parents are immigrants from... say the 80s... unless they own a LOT of real estate (but even that, I don't believe cuz it takes a lot of money to get started in that business) I don't see how in 20 years they could make that much money cuz being an immigrant, you spend the first 5-10 years just getting your life together, learning the language and customs, finding work and whatnot... Just doesn't add up... I know it's hard to believe someone YOU know does whatever, but it happens...

Funny you said that...thats exactly what happened..I went in there for ram after checking out a few other shops, and he was 5 dollers more, I said, the guy over there is selling the same ram for 5 dollers less, im buying 2 sticks off you, you should be able to match his price or knock the taxes, since im buy a switch off you also... he said no, so I said fine ill buy the switch, and go back to the other guy for the ram...he sold me the switch and didnt even say have a nice day... So I went back to the other guy bought his ram and saved 10 bucks...

they pretty much are the cheapest around... I've searched and many times they've been the cheapest or damn close! like within $5 bucks of competition!

Ok, the scene on our local aftermarket auto parts is like this. Back in late 80s early 90s, we had a massive Cantonese coming from HK (back in 87 to 89). They owned China Town and just about everywhere you hear Cantonese. I came at 1990 and while I was learning English, I also picked up Cantonese cause it was that many people from HK. So the young kids from this generation were the main contribution to the aftermarket car accessories.

Then came the Taiwanese in mid 90s. You started to hear more people talking Mandarin and these people now are the new wave in keeping the car accessories business alive.

Now, we have rich people coming from China. You hear people speaking Mandarin with Beijing accent. These kids are rich. They dress just like you and I and unless they speak, you would think they are one of the HK people or TW people. They are now, the new wave at aftermarket car business.

For them (rich China, HK and TW kids), spending 45G on accessory is like us buying a McChicken Meal. Kids going to their parents yelling: "I want a BMW, cause my classmate is driving one."

I don't care how rich Wilson's family is or how much he makes, business is business. And when you are running a shop, you gotta treat your customer right. I do agree that skinny Chinese guy with sunglasses does have an attitude, but then again just about every Chinese owner in Pac Mall is like that.

I do a lot of window shopping these days. I don't think I am lacking any materialistic items except cash LOL.

Sell land in HK = $$. I wish my parents originated from HK for the finances. One single bedroom apartment can buy you a $250,000 detached single home here... Goto Warden & 16, I bet 99% of home owners are from Hong Kong.

In 2002, China Gov. earned 50 Billion RMB.

At the same time, they lost 56 Billion RMB from business corruption. If you are in the business of looking for an Chinese bf/gf, go after people from the Main Land.
