Ahh man you're lucky to have season seats, what do those go for anyways?

The game was sick, but we got mauled after the first goal, defence was scarce

Well, UCL is starting today. I can't wait to watch some of the games. Hopefully we will have some surprises too.

2007 $100/seat
2008 $ 190/seat
2009 $280/seat

you were at the game where TFC had 9 of their starting 11 away for wcq.

Yes there were some good games. TSN was showing Chelsea - Bordeaux 4-0. That's the game I watched. There were some interesting surprises:

AS Roma - CFR Cluj 1-2
Werder Bremen - Anorthosis Famagusta 0-0
PSV Eindhoven - Atletico Madrid 0-3

Is that for the CL or what? And how did Montreal qualify for this competition?

I watched the Roma - CFR game and I have to say that CFR played awesome. They played like they had nothing to lose, while Roma started the game thinking that they have already won it. CFR played an amazing tactical game.

.
CONCACAF champions league

Montreal qualified by beating Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps in a 3 team round robin (Nutrilite Canadian Championship) b/w May-July.

They had to then face Real Esteli (Niceragua champ) in a 2 leg qualifier to advance to the group stage

^ Not bad for a team that's not even playing in the MLS. So now they are in the group stages of the CONCACAF C/L. What if they win here, do they go to the semifinals and then final? And if they win it, what then?

format is the same as the uefa CL, and in the end, you get a trophy, $ and a spot in the FIFA world club cup.

Nice! I hope they'll go far, and who knows, maybe in a few years they can join the MLS. I just find it so strange for them to play in the CONCACAF C/L but not in MLS. Go figure that one!

^^^

it would be nice to see a canadian team go far, but as a toronto fc supporter i cannot cheer on the impact, for only playing Montreal twice, a nice rivalry has developed. lol

montreal in mls in 2 years i hope,

Montreal Impact and Puerto Rico Islanders both play in USL-1 and are the only teams from USL to qualify for champions league....

MLS was exposed through qualifying as having teams with weak rosters due to salary cap restrictions.....

4 MLS teams made it to at least the qualifying stages and only 2 in the group stage, 1 which was manhandled last night.

I am a Toronto FC fan too, but I would still like to see another Canadian soccer team go far in the CONCACAF C/L, just like I would like to see Montreal or Vancouver in the MLS.
