Old Friends you haven't heard from....
So I just got a call from a buddy that I haven't seen in a couple years because he had to head north for a bit.
It was weird cuz he has his head straight on his shoulders now and is going to university and taking over his dads company.
Anyone ever have a friend go up north for a bit and then return?

depending on what he did and what he was into... i know a few people who tried to live that life and couldn't stick with it.
one guy makes a good living off of internet poker now.. he tried a job, but didn't last a month

everyone makes mistakes.. and sometimes the only mistake is getting caught.
how many DJs nowadays pirate their music and earn money off of it? according to the ria, homeuse pirating is worth over $1000/track... imagine what they sue for commercial use!
how many people here would be charged with possession and get a criminal record.
How many people have been in a barfight or whatever (assault or aggravated assault)?
just cause you have a record, doesn't automatically make you untrustworthy.
a friend of mine was seemingly attacked by cops and he tried to get away.. he now has 'assaulting a police officer' attached to his name.... and i think in his situation anyone would have done the same.
if someone tackles you from behind, and you don't know what's going on, of course your going to try to get away or fight back.... but with todays society, you get charged for not knowing that it was the police and not assuming only a cop would tackle you without a reason and you shouldn't have been fighting back.
