Yea, cept it has the same number of buttons as the PS2 controller, with better spacing (I could never get why theres 4 shoulder buttons on the PS2 controller).
Compared
PS2 Dualshock controller:
D-pad
2 analog sticks
select / start
Triangle, Square, Circle, X
L1, L2, R1, R2
Xbox Controller S:
D-pad
2 Analog sticks
Back / Start
A, B, X, Y, Black, White
Left Trigger, Right Trigger
So Ha,
Had to post that, I hate when people rag on the xbox controller, "oh it's so big", look at the new controllers, they're friggin secksi, plus if you're so caught up on the ps2 controller, get a controller adaptor.

Its really only noticeable when you play on a high def tv, if you get the component outputs, certain games are in 720p and 1080i and all games are 480p, that's when you see the most difference.
I believe some ps2 games are in HD, but much less than the box.
Xbox Live kills PS2 online, more games are live enabled, plus there's tourneys and download expansion packs, only downside is the 10 bucks a month. I use Xlink/Kai to play online for free, it supports xbox, ps2 and even Gamecube, its a nice alternative.
