Ontario Health Care Sucks ***** !

**START RANT**

So I broke my foot 3 weeks ago and the doctor only told me to go on crutches and to wrap it in a tensor bandage. So then I go back today to get a check up and an x-ray. So the x-ray showed my bone has no healed at all and now i'm in a cast for another 2 weeks. Now my 19th birthday is in 2 weeks and i'm most likely to be in a cast....

FAWK SO MAD !!!!!!!!!!

Also, now i cant play hockey for my school or anything, GOD DAMNIT !!!

*END RANT**

what does the health care system have to do with your foot not healing?

the health care system is working fine from what i can see, you got to see a doctor, you got treated, you got a follow up visit, you got an x-ray, and you got a cast..

the rest is up to your body to fuse the bones together

health care in the states is way better, you have to pay for it but we do in taxes as is. My parents who live in florida get anything Xrays,MRIs anything needed the same week they ask. Plus taxes off income is way less

^ yep

i also like how it is in the states. And there are so many damn people scamming the health care system here, they are changing it up, but not quite fast enough

Point is they should have put a cast on from the beginning and the idiot said that there is no need for a cast ! And now, 3 weeks later, I now need a cast for another 2 weeks and if that doesn't work, I'm going to have to get surgery.

This all boils down to the doctors not putting a cast on it from the beginning !

i personally like it in the states. health care is not free, but if you can afford to pay, there are no problems and everything gets done in a timely manner.

as for the cast issue, seems to be the doctors fault or maybe he was hoping that it would start to heal without the cast before he put one on. i am not a doctor, i am just making a guess

people who like the american system feel free to leave the country.

i dont see anything wrong with it.
the doctor probably felt that a cast wasnt necessary and he maybe even wanted to help you out by not putting a cast on it because those things are really annoying unfortunately your body doesnt know how to heal itself so now its time for a cast.

the sad thing about this is that you are pissed that your 19th birthday is comming up and you dont want a cast for it. Good one genius lets not worry about your leg healing lets worry about you getting drunk and partying.

dont you do that like on a regular day basis anyway?

Yeah I do actually, but its my 19th birthday and they only happen once ever.

The doctor said that due to the break that it was, their definetly should have been a cast no matter what. He also said he has no idea why there wasn't a cast. The nurse knew how pissed I was and she didn't even charge me for the cast ($60).

Another point is that when i was there today, they could have been taking off the cast rather than putting it on..........

Just really annoying how it is working out......Such a pain in the *** to walk around school and not being able to drive....

so you went to two doctors then?

in that case its actually the doctors fault not the system. and something like that is human error in judgement.

i broke my ankle in the summer, first doc said it was a bad sprain, 2nd opinion bad sprain, 3rd opinion bad sprain, after a long week went to my family doctor. He said it was broken, to late to put on a cast and would have to suffer for 3-5 weeks depending on how it healed and how much time i was off it.
The key is x-rays, you can ask any doctor when you hit a clinic or family physician for a x-ray to be done. Dont wait for him to recomend one, just tell him you want one done It would have saved alot of pain.
That lesson i learned after breaking a few ribs falling down stairs later this summer. hot tub+vodca orange+stairs= 911

i broke some wierd bone in me elbow once and doctor put a cast on me, got home and ripped it off.

went for another visit and he put another one on and i ripped that one off too.

then when i went again he said he healed faster than it should have.

as long as u dont move wherever ur bone is broken in a certain way youll be allright and dont go streatching or doing ant crazyness. for me i wasnt soppose to rotate it at all.

oh and also it was a bitch taking a **** cuz i couldnt wipe it, so i had to wipe my *** with my other arm

whats the point of this story? its pointless
