that's why I said to lease it... it's the most fun you'll have for $400+/month and when you're done beating on it, you return it and move on with your life.

take it for a test drive, at the very least you owe yourself that if you are shopping for a car

One other thing I'll say... don't overstretch your budget. Get the smallest, most fully loaded car with the biggest optional engine. Few reasons I say this... less prone to theft generally than luxury cars, the comfort features will all still be there, the small car/big engine makes for a fun-to-drive car that's also good on gas, and MOST importantly, getting the smallest car that will satisfy your needs will insure you have a comfortable margin in case anything happens. Case in point... say you spend every penny on a G35... and then it gets scratched... you can't claim it or insurance goes up... so you gotta cover it outta pocket. That's tough. I may recommend a Golf/Jetta... even though they have their share of problems, there is a strong following and lotsa resources. There are plenty of parts for souping up, they look great, and have a competent chassis for mods. To be diff't get a TDI, wicked mileage, and you can get 130 hp and 230 torque. I hate ours, but if I had more time to work on it, it would be a great project... and they are CHEAP to buy!!

Jason, I wouldn't fit in a Echo and again I find them to be ugly.

Bruno, you've got good points.

yes you'd be surprised what a TDI pulls like with 230 ft/lbs of torque...

Anthony I was kidding .... but you would fit and you'd never have to lock your doors !!! muahahahaaa just hope you enjoy kissing your knees while driving

go for a TDI get an older one and save tons of cash since they don't hold their value

Well I'd have a problem with the VWs. I worked there and once the mileage racks up they start to break and it's not cheap to fix.

Actually VW's are good with high milage.
My dads 1996 TDI Jetta has about 320,000-330,000km on it and all he's had to do was change the exhaust a few weeks ago.
I can't speak for the gas powered engined ones, but the diesel ones are great. My dad told me he's talked with other owners of diesel engines, one had about 500,000km and another about 380,000. The guy with 1/2 million km's still had the original clutch.

But back to the original Q: I say the RSX-S. Thats what I wanna get.

Man, when i was looking for my car about 4 months back, it was between. and RSX type s, and wrx. And man did i ever make the right decision. WRX all the way.

Only thing i would say the rsx-s has over it is the styling and luxury and 6 speed. But for 3 grand more (even less since the sti came out, u can get great deals on wrx's) u got a 4wd car with alot of potential.

But drive it first and see how u like it. It's a different style of driving. There is no stomp and go affect, u have to prepare for every thing. Also the tranny and gear box have a different feel so u migh not really like it.

The car is nice, I live the black ones with the gunmetal rims. Indeed the Integra Type R is a much better looking car than the rsx and the type s isn't as fast as I though it would be when I drove it

I really like the RSX myself. 200hp, 6 speed, leather interior, Bose system, and Honda/Acura reliablity. You can't get a better car for around 30k unless you bought used. A couple basic mods like I/H/E, some nicer wheels and springs, and you would be set. Sure the WRX has more power and AWD, but I think they are ugly, and the interior sucks. Besides, it's a sedan, so a comparison to the RSX is pointless.

hey DumbasSI

I was like that too. I really wanted a RSX-S. And i love the high reving vtec and 6 speed. I am a real honda fan. Thats why i am here.

But one test drive on the wrx, and i was sold. I gave it all up.

I believe it was the moment i first hit boost at around 3500 rpm and my head snapped back and my whole body felt like it was being pushed back into the seat . Dammm.
