Outlook 2003

anyone have experience withi this?

the interface is crap... the direction MS has been taking with the interface for their operating system I think blows...

it's something fitting for a 16 year old girl.. or a mac user.....

i got rid of the new style bars... i don't want grouping at all... i just wish to sort...

and i definitely don't want my inbox contents listed twice on the left... anyone played around with outlookd 2003?

I am using the outlook 2003 everyday @ work, best outllok ever.

For grouping, you can turn it off very easily

Under Mail

1. Favorite Folders. I would like to remove this completely.

2. Things are grouped by day, then sorted. I think this is inefficient. How can I remove this?

3. There is a bar between every email (I do not use auto-preview), it is painful on the eyes, and I wish to remove.

4. I don't want to see gradient buttons. Solid colours is what I would rather have (windows 2000 theme for office is available?)

I installed this to test out for future deployment and I wanted to see the junk mail features, but I can only use that if I have the user work locally instread of on exchange?

Any tips are helpful.

1. Quot from MS help
"Favorite Folders is available only in the Mail pane. The Favorite Folders pane cannot be removed, hidden, or resized. It is not possible to display Favorite Folders in other panes, such as Folder List.
"
2. View->Arrage By-> Show in Group
3. Not sure what is it
4. Change your windows scheme, outlook will change accordingly

the new stuff from MS is all way too user friendly... they designed it all for kids with too much focus on color and lines and not as much on function
