Not really buddy. Just trying to get some decent posts out of you. If you would put forth some effort when you post it makes the thread that much better and might help someone else. Go drink some juice boxes.

is because your internet connection can't take advantage of a fast computer??

Buddies of mine soldered stuff in their AMD CPU's way back in the day when they wewre cartridge style if I can remember correctly.

My one buddy messed his up and it was toast. Risky buisness doing that.

With the new CPUs there really is nothing to mod afaik...it's all internal in the chip.

you can overclock athlons, need a conductive pen, connect l1 bridges,

go into bios slowy turn up voltage n speed until its not longer stable then go back one and keep it there

Connecting the L1 Bridges is what I implied.
That unlocks the multiplier.

Have a AMD Athlon 1900+ (core at 1600mhz) with an Abit Kt7-333-R, 512 pc3200 Samsung ram, Gainward geforce 4400ti 128mb, two Maxtor 40gigs in Raid 0.

I got my system oced and real stable at 1800 with an alpha 8045 heat sink (all copper) and a Panaflo 80mm fan blowing onto the cpu. I think thats my limit w/o unlcoking the cpu. I guess unlocking will be something I'll look ino next time I'm not busy....

I know, but having the same fsb and a unlocked cpu, you kick out more power, and to me, the more power for the dollar is what I like to see....but with work/school/and now christmas, I think I will end up staying with what I got....
