Pacific Mall people don't mod XBOXs cuz they are dumb. The few people who do it there or elsewhere rip you off with high prices or put clone chips in passing it off as the good stuff. Check out my site... www.mad-mods.com for you modding needs. I've done over 1000 XBOX mods and everyone is happy. All my chips come with switches so you turn off the chip and play XBOX Live. Our prices are the lowest in the GTA.

I was about to say that, but you beat me to it.
Once the XBox has been modded, how much to install my 30 or 40G HD? I heard you need to have a program that alows the upgrade, but I've also been told that the mod chip has the program already in it.
Tech TV had a good write up on this mod.

Hard drive upgrades are free dude! Just bring it along with you when I mod the XBOX. You might want to get a bigger and newer HD. The old ones (30gigs-40gigs) aren't lockable so the switch for turning off the modchip is useless...thus no Live support. A lockable drive lets the XBOX be fooled to thinking the original drive is still inside when the mod chip is turned off so you can still go onto XBOX Live.
