people who did Laser.. what did u get done?
hey guys did u get Lasik or PRK?
i went to Lasikmd yesterday in sauga, and after my testing.. they recommended me for PRK, my appt is booked for August 5
and well, my outcome is i have a little bit of astigmitism and very thin Cornea's
so PRK is the option.
as for the testing, holy smokes, the damn eye drops hurt!
and i couldnt see anythign after testing!
anyone have the same problem

i got lasik from lasikmd and loved it. my total was just under $1900 and my vision was 20/100 before and now its 20/20 and 20/15 (better then 20/20)
i went to a place downtown, forget the name but you always see commercials at like 1am...the eye drops made my eyes so sensative to light, but at lasik no prob.
git-r-done, huge night and day difference.

I had a stigmatism too, all it means is that the eye is egg shaped as opposed to round. they will advise you of the risks and stuff of that when you talk to them.
i think one of the things with a stigmatism is possible seeing halo's at night (with headlights) but i was ok.

well this is the thing.
did anyone buy the insurance?
Lasik would be a one time thing, but for the profession i want to go in, they say Prk would bea better option!
they obviously knwo whats up, so i dont want to push them like i know whats going on!
iom a bit scared!
im 24 years old, my eyes have been stable for 2 plus years!
its going to cost me $1065/eye
plus 398.00 insurance! if i want it

I have astigmatism, so I'm thinking my options will be limited. I'm going to wait until i am at least 25.

I have the 30 day contacts, and they're amazing, i can sleep in them for the full length.... if you're not going to sleep in them then why waste the money on them? they feel fine during the night, and you wake up not even knowing you have contacts, it's unlike any other contact i've ever worn before, i feel like i have perfect vision..
only downside to those is that it seems that they're more sensitive to water, so like having a shower or going swimming they get loose. I've never had them fall out but i've felt them move around and shyt...
i'm gonna wait till i'm about 30 to get my eyes done, and they know the longterm affects of the procedures they have now and by then they should have developed a more advanced procedure

My old contacts were 30 day ones, but not those ones that you can leave in. Do you really think that's good for your eyes? 30 days (720 hrs) with your retina under a piece of plastic?
Astigmatism guys: How much are your contacts? Mine were like 190 / 6 months...so I got cheap and didn't want to buy thm cus once i cracked a new pair I felt like I wasn't getting full use unless I wore then everyday for the 30 days they lasted.
