i just got a 4gb ipod mini myself, it's the greatest thing ever, i don't need 20 gigs of music with me, it's a hassle enough dealing with the 600 songs (only like 2.5 gigs) i have right now, i still have 1.2 gigs free and that's a **** load of songs... plus i'm sure i'll be deleting a bunch when i have time for it...

ipods rock, i wasn't a believer but once you've had one things are different...

so to hook an mp3 player up to your car deck, does it have to be a brand new deck with mp3 capabilities, or can you hook it up somehow to older decks, my deck is 4 years old and sucks

no if u want to hook up an mp3 player you just need an aux input and then you plug that into where you'd put your earphones in

usually it's another source, so like when u press the button that changes it from cd to radio to aux and then back again. that will work with any mp3 player, cd player, dvd player, laptop etc... comes in handy

off topic, apparently Pioneer has iPod compatible decks out there nowadays but i have no idea what that really consists of

Ipods have a car adapter I heard.. so its easy to play your ipod in your car.. not sure how..

Yes you can use winamp.. theres an ipod plug in.. I use winamp because its much easier to make play list... and since im taking the music off my cd collection.. I have to make them mp3 so they take up small space.. lol so i convert.. make play list... then drag that file onto my ipod..

You can get an iTrip which is a FM modulator for your ipod that just ends up playing music through ur car deck by FM radio. Not sure how the sound quality is but I heard it's good.
