^You'll never find a place lower than that. Maybe a bachelor apt. on Hooker St. next to the train tracks.

Well, if you do find a basement apt within your price range, word of advice is make sure there are no kids living there under 10. My ex had a place with 2 kids (3 and 6) and all day they run from one side of the house to another. It was like the damn stampeding elephants, from morning to night.

update:

leaning definitely towards Condo now... we'd still like to stick to our budget 1000-1200... one bed room + den preferably, but willing to go into one bed room if the place is really nice (and the amenities are sick)... haven't heard anything back from the broker yet is this a "bad time" to look for a place to rent?

there is a big diff b/w a condo and a basement ed.

1000 to 1200 for a 1+den in downtown mississagua may be tough to find...unless you wanna go to an old and sort of not so nice building.

ya, from what I've seen so far I know it's tough, but not impossible... if we were looking at a basement apartment we wouldn't want to pay more than $900/month... either way, that's not an option anymore

I would've thought that most places include that in their price no? only things that may not be would be util, or cable/internet and stuff like that...

the owner of the condo i.e. the landlord pays the condo fees...not the tenants.

we're trying to focus on the west end of sauga...not downtown, but we may have to resort to downtown sauga...ugh. such a pain. all i know is i better not spend more than 15 mins driving to work.
