Haha, yeah like that is happening. More than likely a prospect from the minors is what is usually means and it probably free's up some spending money to get something for next season.

Yup, the freeing up of monies is the only possible thing I see here. Hinske is pretty much already a good developed prospect, I don't think we traded him away hoping to pick up a better prospect from Boston unless its a pitcher or something.

Schoeneweis was traded for a player to be named later too.
But he wasn't anything special, gave up too many runs too often.
