I just purchased a PS2 last night.... got Grand Turismo A-spec as well, cuz I plan to use it for practicing my driving and picking the correct line around the track. I would have liked an Xbox cuz it's got better hardware, but the fact that GT3 can't be played on Xbox was a real turnoff.

you mean grand turismo 3? cause i picked up greand theft auto 3 last week and that was the only reason i was going to buy a ps2, but now i don't have too.
i still might buy one just to add it to the collection.....

Gran Turismo that whole racing series is good.......the only reason why i bought my PSX for was because of the GT Series........then aspec was comming out....and i heard rumours about online play and linking of systems....so i picked up PS2 only fot the sole reason of the continuing GT Series.........the GTA series was just a plus for me.....lol
Look forward to seeing all u PS2 Owners online somtime around jan, feb or whenever GT4 gets released.....i'll race all u online.....most likely beat u all...haha just giving u some friendly competition....haha

XBox is awesome.
upgrade the hard drive on it, reflash the program, get it chipped and you now can download games and never have to buy them, play online on servers on the net instead of paying for an online fee. netowrk it to your pc.
what u can do with a xbox(733 mhz video game computer) is endless and is the best bang for the buck with the amounts of hacks u can do to it.
who needs to spend money on games when u can download them right to your hard drive. saves u a bundle if your an advocate(*sp) gammer.

I also bought NFS Underground for PS2, it is very easy if you compare it with GT3/4

Its all about sega dreamcast that was the first system to be killed by mods. So easy to make it play backup games, boot disc (no internal mods needed), burn an iso on a cd, bam theres your game. Plus it had so many unique games (Samba de Amigo anyone?), plus the first online console, 56k tho lol. I tried to buy every possible peripheral for it.
I had 4 controllers, 4 vmus (also a first, memory card with a screen for mini games), the samba maracas (prolly the uberest peripheral ever), 2 ddr dance pads, the keyboard (for online play), steering wheel for tokyo extreme racing 2. Had amazing games, the sonic series, samba de amigo, phantasy star online, typing of the dead, marvel vs capcom, powerstone2 (4 player 3d fighter), soul calibur, shenmue.... just off the top of my head
Now that you got me talking about it, Im gonna try to figure out how to burn these damn games, never have succesfully done it yet, but theres tons of newgroups posting ISOs. Oh plus it played VCDs with the proper boot disc.

I didn't notice nintendo gamecube up there... for the current systems between my xbox, ps2 and gamecube i find the gamecube games to be the most fun (not necessarily the more realistic)... if were talking ever.. it would have to be sega master system... nothing will ever beat the alex the kid series and ghost house

I'm using GT3 as a prep for racing, and it's SO SWEET! Their licensing for a and b licenses is awesome, great lines and way quicker turns... forget about paying Skip-Barber school, this is the ****!
