Posting from Valparaiso, Chile

Hola TCC!!!!

I´m in Chile right now....in a small town North of Santiago (the capital). The weather is great...about 23 degrees. I´m having a great time, but wish my family was here enjoying things with me.

Anyways, I just wanted to check in keeping with my theme of international posts, that I started last year....lol.

nice goin' James. My wife is from near that town too! (Yes she's from Chile). I'll ask her about any things you can't miss while you're there(ie tourism stuff). Check back in 2 days!

Thanks for the replies gents. If all goes well, I´ll be living and working here in the new year. I applied as an english teacher in a rich suburb city of Santiago. Learning english is something that companies look for in their employees because it shows that the individual wants to get ahead. The economy here is much different that in Canada. $1CDN = 777 pesos. A decent dinner in a moderate restaurant costs like 3500 pesos, so like $6, for a Jack Astors style dinner.

The women are beautiful, the weather is warm, and the views are spectacular.

JSK...I hope so too.

So I go home last night and ask my wife of things to look out for while visiting the city of Santiago in Chile.

James, Ju told me to to tell you to look out for theives!!! hahahah!!..............tear....hahah.....ah....... ..sniff.....lol.....ok that was serious....just kidding man.

By the sea, there should be places where you can see sea lions gather along the beach. I don't know if you've seen it, but she said she loved watching them as a kid.

Have fun!

BTW, hope you got all your shots and packed condoms... last thing I'd want is to have to go shopping for condoms in a foreign country. *yikes*
