What kind of tv is it? Contact the manufacturer and ask where their nearset service centre is. Some places do house calls for a price.

And it will be "a price". Replacement bulbs can cost into the $ hundreds even before adding in labour costs.

Very true. It might be a better just to buy a new TV. Projections can be had for $1000 these days.

I have a projector myself. I have a very old projector. The bulbs for mine cost $500 cdn. I don't what they cost now. My dad bought the bulb back in 2001. Maybe their cheaper now because projectors are more common, and much more cheaper now.

Its probably around $200-$300 for a bulb. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm taking a guess.

yes i heard it is $200-$300. I just want to know where i can buy the bulbs and which 1 to buy. This is a projector not much of a tv type. U hook it up to anything and projects onto the screen. so does any1 know any places that specialize in these stuff? Mine is a sanyo projector.

Do you know the model number? If so, just google on the model number, "Sanyo", and replacement bulb.

The worst thing is that the bulbs have a relatively short live, maybe 2000 - 2500 hours. If you use your projector system as heavily as you would a TV, you could be replacing the bulb once or twice a year, and that will hurt.

The projector systems are cheap to buy unless you really want the 80 to 90 inches or more image that a projector can get you. Otherise, in the medium to long term, it's cheaper to shell out the bucks up front and get that big screen TV instead.

best would be to contact one of these TV repair guys, they would be able to source you the part...

still might be worth doing some searching online...

I've had a projection TV apart, thier not that hard to fix really if your just replacing parts (like bulbs)
