I like to crack my cookie in half, read the fortune out loud, and add "in bed" to the end of it. Then eat. Really ups the amuesment factor of fortunes when they are reference what you do / will do in bed...

I put the cookie still in its wrapper down on the table and smash it with my fist. I then open the package, take a piece and eat while reading the fortune. I then eat another piece maybe, and discard the rest.

The almond cookies they have at the Mandarin are sooooo good.
Do they actually serve fortune cookies when they bring your bill to the table?
Can't remember. Doubt it would be very appealing after the dessert buffet, anyway.
