PS2 VGA Adapter

Hey guys,

I just picked up the new slimmer PS2 today.
I was wondering if any of u use a PS2 VGA adapter to allow u to play your PS2 off a computer monitor?

I've already started researching and this so far seems the best.

VDigi Enhanced VD-Z3:

I've read a great review for xbox users at:
http://hardware.teamxbox.com/article...DZ3-Review/p1/

But I haven't really come across many reviews for PS2 users.
Is there anyone using this right now with a PS2?
Or can you recommend a better or more cost efficient solution?
$57 US seems a little pricey.. but if it's the best one out there.. i guess it's worth it

I see some "Blaze" vga adapter on ebay.. but it looks kinda suspect...

Oh and also if you guys know if these adapters are compatible with a modded ps2/ps2 games

Thanks

since a ps2 doesn't really run that high a resolution (copmpared to a sexy computer video card) its not that worth i dont think... the picture probably will be crisper but your still stuck with a 19" or smaller screen ( if you have larger then that you got hosed to those extra inches)

i got a 21"
i figure i'd rather buy a vga adapter then spend $300-$500 on a new tv..
plus having the ps2 and computer side by side seems pretty sweet =)

You should see the difference on the monitor as it supports higher resolutions. I'm not sure which PS2 games support HD resolutions, I believe there are some 480p games which is EDTV. I'd try it out, I've played xbox on my computer using an ATI composite input, low quality but it's good when Im modding and I need to xfer files.
