Video games are expensive and truly waste of money. But then again, so are cars.
Anyway, we bought Wii and only buy games that have good reviews. Only have 2 games now and we don't play it everynight. But I find Wii quite entertaining especially with a crowd.

saying the ps3 is not being maxxed and the 360 is, is well silly, the Xbox 360 Graphics chip is better then the PS3s, R500 vs RSX(haha) basically in computer terms, its a 7600GT vs an X1800XT (with 64 unified shaders)
PS3 though doubles as a br player and it has HDMI 1.3 if u ever get a 1.3 spec reciever($$$$$)

Ok guys, yes, I did just get layed off. I'm not buying this with money from my own pocket. Someone in my family wants to get me one of these for christmas so I want to make sure I get the right one.
Don't even mention the wii ppl. The wii is for children. For the kind of game I like (racing simulators like forza and gt4, ace combat series, Halo, cod4) the ps3 and xbox360 are in a whole different league. I have all respect for the wii and it's innovations in console video gaming, but it's just not for me.
I 2nd the idea to make this thread a poll.
Don't even mention the wii ppl. The wii is for children. For the kind of game I like (racing simulators like forza and gt4, ace combat series, Halo, cod4) the ps3 and xbox360 are in a whole different league. I have all respect for the wii and it's innovations in console video gaming, but it's just not for me.

regardless of what anyone here says still 360 is the way to go... you can buy the ps3 cuz it LOOKS nice... but that doesn't do much interms of gameplay

I just bought a 1080p TV and picked up the PS3.
I leaned towards the PS3 because controllers are cheaper, free online play, and BluRay player. I had it matched at BB for $399 with +2 sixaxis controllers and a HDMI cable. I picked up COD4 and it is insane, even though I havent used the HDMI connection yet.
I think I'll keep it even though I have 30 days to decide.

However the day that PS3 is able to take advantage of all 9 cores PS3 shall conquer
as of now bench marks prove that the 360 has a more powerful system and greater looking graphics. Picture is more vibrant and the game selection is ridiculously amazing. Not to mention the greatest online game play (which you pay for, but is damn well worth it) ... PS3 = Bluray player = greater risk of break down if ur a heavy movie watcher since the blu ray player is embedded in the game disc reader. 360 on the other hand foresaw these problems and made the HD player seperate from the unit. You gotta pay for it but it prolongs the life or ur disc reader
... as i said before ps3 has a long way to go seeing as it has no Sony exclusive games that are worth buying ps3 over 360. In addition the ps3's online game play is a big POS, lag and random connection failures. 360 has an amazing selection of games and is just the best way to go right now. In a year or two that may change but for now 360 reigns supreme. Im a huge sony fan dont get me wrong and i will definitely pick up a ps3 sooner or later ... when better game titles are released (ie: metal gear solid, kingdom hearts, etc).
ps: 360 has a firmware upgrade to allow u to play "back up" games even online huge bonus
