Pure energy batteries

Anyone else use these and notice that they stink? My digi cam and mp3 player go through them like nothing. I think the only thing they are good for is remotes.

they are alkaline recharable, they aren't that great....

NiCAD rechargables are OK, NIMH are currently the best AA and AAA format rechargable...get a GOOD charger and a good set of batteries and you'll get a lot more time out of your electronic devices....

For digital cameras I would suggest to get a set of NIMH, 2000 or higher.

I have 4 x 2500 NIMH rechargables that I bought down at Active Surplus (on Queen St) for $30 with a rapid charger. It takes about 1-2 hours to fully charge all 4.

In my Nikon (with flash, zoom here and there, and the screen always on) I get about 150->200 pics (depending on how cold it is outside) before I have to recharge them.

I used to use those Pure Energy battires, and they are pure crap when it comes to using them in a digi cam. I used to get maybe 20-30 pics before the camera would shut off on me.

I agree, Pure Energy are pure crap..... first charge, they're ok, 2nd charge and it's like it lost half of its capacity......

the Lithium energizer batteries are by far the best, too bad they're not rechargeable.....

As far as rechargeables go, definately NiMH batteries...... until they can make Lithium Ion in AA or AAA format

Exactly, they die so quick. I just picked up an energizer set 2500's and I'll see how they do.

I'm using some energizer 1800's and they're pretty awesome....... but then again, I've only had them in my wireless keyboard, but I haven't had to change them for...... about a year
