A question about certain civics...

I've seen it a few times this week.

Why do some civic owners have only a set of rims on the front with hubcaps or steelies in the back, or vice versa? Is there something special about it?

steelies on the front with big rims on the back means they are going or coming from the track, less rims on drivetrain=faster acceleration, if they arent doing it for that reason, they are retarded.

thats just plain dangerous, having one set on the front and back changes ur ride enough, let alone having a set on one side of the car and a diff side on the other.

and also because steelies weigh less than most rims .

actually most of the cars you see that have that set up means the owners are too cheap to afford tires for their blown 19 inch chrome rims.
most guys change tires at the track and change back to avoid hassles by cops.

My friend used to do that..

you know why he did that?

he was too cheap to afford front rims so he just purchased two. IMO it's stupid unless you are going to the track.

100% bs. the real answer is jus plain cheap. i love seeing stock civics with 2 19's in the back and 2 steelies in the front, then have the driver act like a shooter.

and fyi. theres a store in woodbridge called denim101, the owner drives a riced yellow civic with white rims: 2 on his car, and 2 in the storefront window

Anywho, I saw it twice this week. Two cars like that. It's friggin funny!!!

Question: Why buy 2 19's when u could prolly get 4 16s for the same price....no?

^^^ you know after reading that it brought to mind a couple friends of mine (that ran 17's front and back) who had some nice swaps with decent mods but could never break the 15 second barrier...who would have thought the 25 pound wheels could have slowed it down :P
