3200/7 = 457.14

3200 - (457*7) = 1

Tuesday +1 is Wednesday.

Thumbs up

According to the Gregorian Calendar ... THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!

For example: Tuesday, January 1st, 799AD to Friday, January 1st, 3999AD.

((Give / Take a few hundred hours due to leap years / my intermediate level math skills.))

But really, who cares, as of this moment, the maximum number of menstrual cycles any man on earth must endure before January 1st, 2009 has been reduced to exactly 1,
since only 28 days, 7hrs, 39 minutes & xx seconds remain until NEW YEAR'S!

* * *

Correction: Wednesday, September 6, 2017 -- I misread the post to ask for years & did all that extra work for nothing...

Why wouldn't you take into account the full number? 457.14xxxx, in which case the answer would be 0?

Well the calculation I did is by weeks so leap years should not matter. A week is 7 days, whether one of them is February 29th or not. Leap year or no leap year, seven days moves you through Monday to Sunday once.

I did take it into account, 457 x 7 = 3199 full days. The remainder brings you a percentage into the 3200th day.

If you have 3200-(457.14*7) the answer is not zero, it is .02. Bringing you .02 into the 3200th day.

As far as i can tell, you are correct in your answer and in ignoring leap years and calculating by weeks. leap years affect the number of days in a year but now the flow of a week (sunday to saturday) so regardless of leap years, the days of the week would still come in the same order.

another way to find the answer is 3200/7 to find out the number of weeks that has gone by in 3200 days which is 457.142857 (repeating decimals) which means 457 full weeks ahve past leaving you with 0.142857 of week left to go. if you keep all the decimals multiply by 7 (to find out how many days of a week 0.142857 weeks is) you get 1...so it would be 457 full weeks + 1 day....if we start on a tuesday, it would be a wednesday

^True, the question only asks what day it would be, not the date.

Yeah, I did the .14xxx *7 thing after I posted, makes sense. I guess cause this was titled a riddle I was looking for something that wasn't there.
