questions about tv
ok my parents just bought a new tv... so i get the old one... it is a sony trinitron... i can get the model number if needed but anyways the clicker is busted... and the colour controls are all out of whack.... and the clicker is the only way to adjust them...
so i have two questions... anyone know how much sony would want for a new clicker? or can those universal things do colour controls??

i had the same problem as you. I picked this one up for $15 bucks at princess auto in hamilton, dunno theres any where you live, with this one you can access the menu and everything without programming it.

I've got an older Sony Trinitron and the picture/colour controls are on the front of the tv. (behind a plastic flap to cover the buttons when not in use)
If they aren't there and your remote is busted, then try going to Future Shop or something, they usually have universal remotes going for decent prices.

ya i know most do have those controls on the front but not this bad boy... just absolute basic stuff like power channel change volume... i think i'm gonna head to future shop later on today and check it out.. although getting an oem controller would be nice

be careful with an aftermarket remote.....i picked up a really good one for a phillips big screen i have and it does everything but access the colour and picture setting....
channels up and down - volume - even timer, but not damn picture adjustment....
i ended up caving in and paying $75 + tax for one......

Be careful what universal remotes you buy, I worked at zellers and lemme tell you, we sold like 60 remotes in a year, 40 came back cause they suck. I returned the same one 3 times lol. RCA I think it was.
