Anyway maybe we'll come back to this thread in 1.5 and see who was right.

Which reminds me.. I should dig up that old NHL Sabres thread!
What is there to get? You make it sound like he is a super star, he is not. He had a good year, basically to prove his critics wrong. We needed a point guard more than we needed a forward, therefore the trade was done. The rush is, even though you can wait, there are season ticket holders that also want to see the team going in the right direction. Anyhow, the point is moot, he is gone and there will be more to come according to the news next week.

You could argue that BC was selling CV at his possible peak. As I said before, there is a real possibility that CV may turn out to be Antoine Walker part 2. That would be a disaster. Only time can tell, and sometimes you have to take risks. It may or may not bite us in the butt.

^^^ Exactly.. like Brian said the trade is done, but still doesn't make it right if it turns out lop-sided down the road. The Vince Carter trade is done, but that trade was horrible so therefore I could still complain about it now What is there to get you ask? I am not sure at this exact moment, but given time opportunities will arise with different players. I know CV only had one good season but it was his first season and I just don't think it was luck and I keep using the word prospect not superstar theres a big difference. I see your point though with the season ticket holders, basically your almost saying he needs to atleast appear he's making moves to please the people. Anyway, I'm no expert so we'll end the banter and like I said Colangelo is a proven team builder and I'm just a civic owner lol

i won't agree to say the VC trade was horrible... although we got nothing in return...... but dumping VC was our only option, he is simply just destroying our team... his mom is just destroying our parking lot.... so what's up with that? VC is good and we all know that... but if he isn't willing to use his talent for us, why bother keeping him around to destroy our locker room spirit? that's the whole business... although those eric williamz, mourning were ****... but we had a nice turnaround now...

i actually liked CV too... but the results is all it matters, so i'm looking forward to see what TJ can do for us... and right now, bargnani seems like he is pretty promising... although its only the summer league... but he shows signs of potential and he can shoot the nba 3pters... that's the PLUS... he might encounter quicker defenders when season starts, but with workout and some more experience, he'll get adjusted... i say start bargnani right away... this is what the departure of CV will do, give bargnani the opportunities... so we can push for playoffs asap =)

bargnani wont be starting games at the beginning of the season at least....

we have a guy that can play centre now
so we dont have to rush bargnani at all now....remember what happen to the last rookie that played centre for us !
