Received some bad news...

I was supposed to get black EL leathers this weekend... and the guy just e-mailed me and told me they were sold. I told him 2 weeks ago I was down for sure and I was coming this weekend to get 'em. What is so hard to understand about "I will buy them". Back to square one with my search for something pimp for my interior

On the other hand, when I was selling my Sparco seats, I guess it went the same way... whoever came w/ cash first got 'em. Ohhh well, it's too bad, no leather interior for me

Maybe I'll look for RSX seats...

wow that sucks dude .....by the way are you seats sold yet ? if they are still laying around as of august (I'd see them as being sold way before that if not already because of the price) I'll buy them ... I'll have cash that month

Jay, seats sold the same week after I left them there... this girl picked them up on Tuesday the same week.

PolskiSi, rear GSR seats don't fit... at least I can't be sure that they do. I know ELs would fit. No ******* way that I'm buying a $1000 interior and not even knowing whether it fits into my sedan. Worse comes to worse, I get a set of black Sparco Torinos and leave it at that... but RSX fronts would be real slick.

That's too bad B, but look at it this way, the deal didn't go through which gave you another chance of shopping for the seats. You might find something else better.

Nova_Dust, in retrospect, I'm worried the parts were hot. I mean, who in the world buys a 2000 1.6 EL premium and then strips it for racing???? You get a CX or SiR for racing... not a EL Premium, ya hear? Looking back, the story didn't quite add up.

gatherer, that was a great deal for those seats... usually about $600 buys you a pair of new ones.

B, that's what I meant. You probably saved yourself tons of trouble without getting those seats.

How much is it to wrap all 4 in leather? Although I had mine done when I got my car but I don't know how much it costed. If it is reasonable, get brand new leathers instead of used ones. Besides, you get to pick the colour.

Charles, Honda OEM everything for me, thank you

Wherever possible I use all OEM parts b/c I believe Honda puts a lot of effort into making good parts. To go out and buy aftermarket crap is a step down. Katzkin costs a grand USD.

Methinks if I don't have the patience to wait for another set of mint ELs to come around, I'll do the Sparco Torino seats. My buddy has a pair in his Del Sol, and they are sweet! Or, I can take that grand and have my manifold and piping built so my turbo finally gets put on, cuz those are the only peices of the puzzle that are missing. And any leftover cash, do new axles on my Saturn and new KYB shocks on it too...

Depends on condition $700-1000.

Pair of Torinos is only slightly more, and RSX seats are about a grand too.

B, Honda dealers also have affiliated aftermarket shops that do leather and tinting service for Honda vehicles. I wasn't suggesting you to go to some local shop and get it wrapped like that.

You can always go through Honda and ask for some help. I mean, Honda doesn't make leather no? I don't think there is such thing as OEM leather. It is the worksmenship that matters, right?

Mine white seats are still pretty white. Not bad for a 3 year old car with daily wear and tear.

I know you live far and its not easy to be in GTA area in 30 minutes

Anyways Good luck on your search

My Honda dealer is filled to the brim with fools. I wouldn't ask them for a glass of water if I was dying of thirst. Those bastards!!! Besides, you would be incorrect in assuming someone else does the work... in your case... yes... since you asked for a custom product. But in the case of OEM seats, Honda DOES have a trim plant, like every other place out there. Honda makes their own leather seat covers... however, buying new from the dealer, it's about $800 for each peice for the front seats, so I'm lookin at $1600 per seat - $3200 for the front pair alone, plus another about $2000 for the rear bench. Now.... this is an estimated price since I've priced out OEM seat covers before (for an Audi, but how different could the price be?)

Keep in mind, I recently paid $30 for a bolt and a nut at my Honda dealer.

I can't access TSR... never have been able to I figured anyone who posts there would post here too. Thanks for letting me know though... BTW, is this a set of tan ones and a set of black ones... cuz if so, that's the ones I was looking at and they are sold.

I know what you mean about class... I came up to TO to sell something to a guy, I waited for this ************ for 3 hours at Krispy Kreme. Another time I drove up to pick up a car.... we agreed on a Saturday... well, I later found out he WAS OUT OF TOWN!!!!! and forgot to tell me.

Ya dealer price can cause you an arm and a leg.... but of course, not every dealer is perfect and well thought out.

Regardless, leathers are comfortable. I will never seat in another cloth seats again....
