i know that Pig is haram in islam, i didn't know this but my english professor, said that its also not allowed to christians, the reason behind this is this, that pig is a dirty animal, and it dosen't get effected by feaces or any diseases, so the animal does not die, and when the human hunts and eats that diseased pig, he will die and get disease by eating that pig, other animals die when they get a disease, so the human dosen't eat that animal, because its already dead and shows the effects of a sick animal.

pigs are actually very clean animals. Left to themselves they will not **** all over the place.
They roll in mud to cool themselves off, we might be doing the same if we didn't have access to air conditioning or even shade, not to mention our sweat glands.
Pork will go bad very quickly if not refrigerated, or not cooked properly (not all parts of it) in comparison to beef.
this is why cavemen believing in messiah's decided it was not good to eat it.
people are too stupid to realize otherwise.
or their virtuous beliefs uphold some great principles that can't be explained because you're not to question anything from the lord (the sign of a good master)

I'm seriously curious if and if so, why the Prophet Mohammad decided that we should be killing geckos, and not iguanas.
I just got a pet gecko off someone who has too many and it's fairly docile and harm free.
I think it's cool I'm blaspheming without even knowing if that is the case.
Eating reptiles by the way, has the same issue with pork, especially when you don't have a bbq or a fridge.

Jesus said to paul on the roof top..."nothing God had made is unclean" when He offered paul an animal with a cloved feet to eat... ie: pig and paul refused because he said it was unclean.

i want to hear it from someone who follows the koran if that's the reason why we should kill things.
