Registering a JDM civic

RHD
I do believe that you CANT register that car. Canada has some messed up rules with that. You can change your car to RHD with no probs, BUT, if you really want an origional RHD car, it has to be brand new or made no less then 15yrs ago. ie 1988 can be imported and registered with no problem. I can get a 1988 Skyline R32 delivered to my door for about 5G's canadian. Also, CRX's, Twin Turbo 88 Supras, RX7's, really anything you want, except half cuts. Which I need!! Damn connections, so anyways, if you are seriously interested in being very origional, and want a real RDH JDM car, e-mail me.

It is possible to bring a car over to Canada but be prepared to have one crash tested. Or have connections with the manufacturer who might be able to provide crash data to meet the North American standards. The only RHD cars I have seen are A) old Rolls Royce's B)For show, C) driven by Transport Canada, D) Owned by the manufacturer or E) belonged to someone who was really rich.
About that car, I don't think it is a real CTR. If I remember correctly, CTR's don't come in Automatic and they weren't available until '99.

yes you can bring over JDM/RHD cars. but when you register your car their has to be something that signifies the car that it is indeed a right hand drive vehicle. I believe you have to have a sticker or something so that the people behind you know its a right hand drive. but if your really intrested in importing a rhd vehicle, speak to the ministry.

with a little work, you can make it meet the safety standards here.
How do you think they get a "kit" car to be regestered then?
Most are built from scratch.:working:
