Removing anti theft device from clothing..

I bought a suit yesterday from International clothiers, and they forgot to remove the round anti theft device from the back of the jacket.

Now the event that I need the suit for is tomorro night, and if I can remove it now it would be better, than driving back to get them to take it off, so my fear is, do these devices contain ink, or are they just an electronic device?

If its just electronic I could try and pick it with tools to get it off.

I'm not sure about the round ones you mentioned....I know for fact that the rectangle ones contain ink...a person I know once tried to remove it and it completely ruined the clothing.

the round one I have is made by National and is part of the E.A.S system.

Contains a coil inside to set off the alarm as well.

I have found some useful info on the net, but nothing solid.

Could you take it back to them and have them remove the tag? That is if you have the time available?

the round ones do not contain ink.
only the rectangle ones do.

the easiest way to take it off is to use a plier and pull of the pin.
super easy to do. my gf used to work at a clothing store and she used to get tags lying around the floor of the changing room all the time.

the little thing they use in the store actually contains a magnet of some sort and the lay it down sideways and then pop it off.

try using a magnet on the bottom half and ppop it off with pliers or something if you need it removed that badly

at the store they are removed using a very strong magnet chances are you wont find something strong enough to release it from its hold imo i would stop wasting time and just use a plier on it.

Try earth magnets, those things are insane!. I took one of my bosses earth magnet and was throwing it up in the air and trying to catch it with a another magnet and I guess I threw it up a little to high and got stuck on the roof. Anywho, just give 'er a rip.

Or why don't you just leave it on during your event (keep it hidden) and then, when you're done with it, return it for a full refund and you can spend that money on your ride!!! LOL!

*this is just a joke*

I had a little confrontation a while back with another post where something was said, not intentionally, that offended someone. So, hope you don't take it the wrong way and tell me to f#@k off!!

PUT IT IN THE FREEZER....

Then brake it off.

You can usually freeze the ink, and it won't squirt.

if the tag isnt the ink one

u can wrap an elastic band around it and keep wrapping it around until u cant do it no more while applying force to remove them apart

that works, my friend use to work at BR and taught me that

WTF? Where was I supposed to go at 10PM at night to get it removed? Did you even bother read, or are you another one of those lazy people you talk about.

For the rest: Update

Removed it myself in 5 min lol.

Popped the top off the bigger disc with a hacksaw, removed the spring and ball bearing and the pin came out no sweat. Was one of the easiest inventions I had ever seen but worked great at doing what it had to do.

No ink inside aswell. Thanks to those that replied. It actually saved me an hour of hassle, since I dont have to drive and get it done now before I leave.

Heres some pics

This is how it originally looks, with a piece of clothing through the middle. The small button on top goes on the other side of the article of clothing.
